Hinkle Contracting Corporation – Health Risk Appraisal,
Intervention And Wellness Program Management Since 1994
"Hinkle Contracting Corporation, a 600 employee construction company, has been working
with Occupational Health Solutions since 1993. OHS has been handling our wellness program
and holding our health fairs since 1994. As you can see, we have had a long working
relationship with OHS. We had a total of 798 employees and spouses participate in this
year’s health fair. In 1999 we had 685 participants.
We have well over 1000 covered lives in our self-insured health care program and this
past year we saw a decrease in our medical claims at the same time our covered lives
increased. Our prescription drug costs increased. Part of this increase can be contributed
to our wellness program. Employees and spouses are more aware of their health situations
and have started taking medications to help eliminate major medical problems.
OHS has been a great asset to our wellness program. OHS is readily available to each of
our employees and receives several calls each month from various employees on the 800
line. In addition, OHS has received letters and phone calls from employees and spouses
thanking us for providing our wellness program."

"We were looking for a proactive way to reduce health insurance claims. With our OHS
wellness program, our employees are better informed to make healthy choices. The wellness
screenings provide employees with a report of their risks and allow them to be proactive
about their health. I highly recommend OHS and their wellness programs to employers!"

"I can say with certainty that Occupational Health Solutions has been very beneficial
to the overall health of our organization. The proof is in the numbers. By comparing our
scores and ratings from previous years to our most recent results, our health has improved.
You can't argue with those results. OHS has been very active in helping us plan our
programs, monitor our progress and quantify our results. In doing so, we have been able
to reduce our spending, but most importantly, improve the health and quality of life for
our employees.
Dave and the OHS team are a joy to work with and have been a great addition to our
wellness program. We are very happy with the results from their program and would
recommend them to any organization looking to decrease health care spending and improve
the overall health of their company."

"OHS has conducted wellness assessments at Central Bank for the past two years.
Each year approximately 500 employees in different markets have completed the wellness
assessment as well as participated in the biometrics. Participants received an individual
report with their results within a week or less of their assessment. Our employees were
very pleased with the timeliness of these reports.
Dave and the OHS team are a joy to work with and have been a great addition to our
wellness program. We are very happy with the results from their program and would
recommend them to any organization looking to decrease health care spending and improve
the overall health of their company."
The staff at OHS is first-rate. Not only are they personable and easy to work with,
they are on time and ready to begin work when scheduled. OHS willingly traveled to
banking centers in our various markets (Louisville, Lexington, Georgetown, Florence,
Winchester, Owingsville, Richmond, and Nicholasville) with no issues whatsoever.
The phlebotomists that OHS employs have received rave reviews from even our most squeamish
employees.
Our Wellness Program uses the Executive Summary Report provided by OHS to strategize our
wellness efforts for the coming year. Several key issues of concern were identified from
this report and wellness activities will target those areas. The Group Progress Report that
they provide is another excellent tool that shows the health changes made by our group since
our last assessment. This report helps us to measure ROI for the dollars we spend on wellness."
